Guy Declares One Rule for His RV—But People Were Distracted By Something Else
TikTok is full of trending sounds and stories, and it can be really fun to take part, showing how our particular topic and personality relate to the trend. But sometimes, what we're trying to convey might be overshadowed by something else.
TikToker Kirsten Trout and her husband live in a beautiful, modern fifth-wheeler, and her husband, from time to time, performs funny and wholesome skits, set to trending sounds.
One of their favorites was when her husband used the trending sound, "I don't have many rules for my home, but I do have one..."
He stood behind the bar, separating their living room from their kitchen, and then the camera panned around to the rest of the home. It was beautifully decorated, and string lights and lamps were lit throughout while the overhead light remained off, giving the home a cozy and ethereal glow.

Viewers wholeheartedly agreed about not utilizing overhead lights, sometimes because it's overstimulating or unpleasant, and some pointed out their favorite fixtures in the TikToker's home, like the lamp by the couch.
But viewers were especially interested in the home's layout and how large it appeared, looking like a large home instead of a fifth wheeler.
This home is a wonderful example of how a mindful layout, appropriate furniture, and thoughtful decorating can not only make a house a home but can make a "small home" feel a whole lot bigger.
Were you surprised by the layout and design of this home?
More importantly... How do YOU feel about overhead lighting?
