A key difference between “permanent” home dwellers and chronic travelers is whether they desire a home in one static place or a constantly shifting backdrop.

In both desires, they wish for that feeling of “home,” but for TikTokers like @TrentTheTraveler, it’s clear that a person can embrace a space, however small and unconventional, to call home while also enjoying a constantly changing landscape. Embracing a sense of adventure and having a traveler’s heart is not the direct opposite of having a wish for home, after all.

In a very short but powerful video, the TikToker points out that he always gets to be home while getting to enjoy different places, arguing in very few words that when you live in a van, you get to live everywhere. 

TikToker @TrentTheTraveler panned up across his van, pointing:

“I live here.”

After a dramatic pause, he turned the camera out of the van’s sliding passenger door, which was open to a bright, sunny day on the beach, and said:

“But I also live here…”

“I like that.”

The camera then panned down to his dog, whose tail, and honestly whole body, wagged in excitement, and clearly agreement about enjoying their life—and likely being more than ready for a walk on that glorious, sandy beach.
