So, relax, step outside, and stretch your legs at these fun stops:
Make a stop at one (or all) of these locations as you journey down the I-5 and don’t forget to bring your Lynx Levelers along for the ride!
Molalla River State Park
A scenic drive, hiking, picnicking, fishing, boating, and wildlife boating are all things you can enjoy at Molalla River State Park. Get involved with nature at this site and experience everything it has to offer, which includes a shoreline mixed with sandy beaches, rocky shores, and towering caps.
Enchanted Forest
This outdoor theme park has been family owned and operated since 1971 and includes rides, a storybook lane, an English village, and a haunted house – a chance for the entire family to have some fun.
The only problem? The kids may never want to leave!
Splash! at Lively Park
A wave pool, waterslide, spa, kiddie pool; the list continues. Stop for a few hours filled with swimming and relaxation in the sauna, wave pool, or adult spa. Why not enjoy the outdoor playground and have a picnic in the sun as well while you’re at it?
ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum
The explanation is in the name—this museum consists of over 100 touchable and interactive exhibits, which encourage people of all ages to learn more about science. With 17,000 square feet of activities, most of the exhibits have been built right in the museum with a state-of-the-art fabrication system. Time to let your inner nerd shine!
Harris Ranch Inn and Restaurant
From shopping, to food, to beautiful fountains offering a relaxing escape, Harris Ranch is a stop worth remembering. Pick from a variety of different restaurants for the family to enjoy, or simply stop to take in the majestic property the Inn resides on. Located between San Francisco and California, this is a well-known destination for roadtrippers.
In-N-Out Burger
If you’re looking for a quick meal, the In-N-Out Burger stop in Kettleman City is the way to go. Indulge in some great burgers and shakes while taking an hour or two to step outside the RV and get some fresh air.
Tule Elk State Natural Reserve
Take in the beauty of this park and the elk that reside in it. The whole family can stop for lunch at the picnic area, which offers an excellent scenic view and provides an opportunity to bird watch.

Fort Tejan State Historic Park
Explore a piece of history in the Grapevine Canyon between two sets of mountains. There are several buildings visitors can get a look at, and two are open for viewing. Check out restored barracks that contain uniforms and recreated trooper’s quarters. Historical re-enactments occur right in the park and can serve as an interesting history lesson for both children and adults.
